Our Story

Insurance runs deep in the Spencer family. Our father, Scott Spencer, began his career in the industry in 1972, and growing up, insurance was a regular topic of conversation around the dinner table.

In 2007, brothers Ryan and Rick Spencer took the leap into agency ownership, purchasing the client accounts of their father’s insurance agency and establishing Axcess Insurance.

The timing couldn’t have been more challenging. The Great Recession followed shortly afterward, bringing significant uncertainty to the insurance industry and the businesses we served.

But those early challenges helped shape who we are today. Through persistence, hard work and a commitment to doing right by our clients, we’ve built Axcess into a thriving independent insurance agency serving individuals, families and businesses throughout Utah.

Today, we’re excited to welcome a third generation into the insurance business as Ryan’s son, Evan, joins the team.

While our family history introduced us to insurance, the agency we’ve built reflects our own vision: to combine the personal relationships of a hometown agency with the knowledge, resources and expertise to handle even the most complex insurance needs.
